The golf ball set, “Tail of the Tiger — The Mistress Collection,” features caricatures of 12 women who have been romantically linked to Woods, including Rachel Uquitel, Jaimee Grubbs and Joslyn James. On Wednesday, James appeared alongside her attorney Gloria Allred at a press conference to contend that the golf balls (priced around $44.95) are insensitive and promote violence toward women.

“As a victim of violence myself, it bothered me to think that someone would be standing with a dangerous club hitting a ball with my photo on it,” James, a former porn star whose whose given name is Veronica Siwik-Daniels, told Los Angeles television station KTLA.

Allred said she is demanding that Creative Classics, the company behind the balls, immediately halt production.

“We have pointed out that encouraging golfers to use clubs to hit a woman’s face that is portrayed on a golf ball is a dangerous and reprehensible act because it encourages violence against women,” said the famed lawyer, who contends her client has not authorized anyone to use her name or face on any product mentioning Woods.

When reached by KTLA, the Canadian company seemed unfazed by the legal threat.

“I think probably it’s Gloria at her finest trying to get her face in front of a camera,” said Creative Classics owner Mike Caldwell.

Woods has been under the microscope ever since a single-car accident outside his home on Nov. 27. The accident came shortly after the National Enquirer published a story alleging that he was having an affair with Uchitel, a New York nightclub manager. After the first affair allegation, several more women stepped forward claiming to have engaged in sexual trysts with Woods, including Grubbs, a former VH1 Tool Academy contestant.

Woods later admitted to cheating on his wife, Elin Nordegren, while also announcing plans to put his golf career on an indefinite hold in order to focus on his family.

“I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children,” he said in a statement on his official Web site. “I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try.”
