HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Trent Reznor is heading for the altar.
The 43-year-old Nine Inch Nails musician is now engaged to his girlfriend, West Indian Girl singer Mariqueen Maandig.
"In case [you] haven't heard the news, Mariqueen got engaged," read a message posted on the Web site for Maandig's band. "Everyone in the West Indian Girl camp is super excited and happy for her. Q's an awesome person, friend and bandmate, and she couldn't be marrying a cooler guy."
In February, Reznor hinted at taking a break from Nine Inch Nails while announcing a joint summer tour with Jane's Addiction.
"I've been thinking for some time now it's time to make NIN disappear for a while," Reznor disclosed on the group's Web site. "Last year's 'Lights in the Sky' tour was something I'm quite proud of and seems like the culmination of what I could pull off in terms of an elaborate production. It was also quite difficult to pull off technically and physically night after night and left us all a bit dazed."
Nine Inch Nails and Jane's Addiction, who performed together on the maiden Lollapalooza tour in 1991, will kick off their concert run in West Palm Beach, Fla. on May 8.
Nine Inch Nails debuted in 1989 with the album "Pretty Hate Machine."
