NASSAU, Bahamas — Heidi Montag gave her first live performance at the Miss Universe pageant held Sunday night in the Bahamas, singing “Body Language” from her debut album.
The “Hills” star took the stage in a sequin bra and matching pants, but fans watching at home missed nearly half of her performance. NBC, which was televising the event, moved away from Montag’s performance and introduced the 15 finalists instead.
“I think people don’t know what to expect, and how can they? It’s my first performance live and it’s in front of a billion eyes. So I’m very excited to show everyone what I’m coming with,” Montag told the Associated Press prior to taking the stage.
Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez went on to win the 2009 Miss Universe title.
