HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — In Knight and Day, Tom Cruise is a covert agent and Cameron Diaz is a woman caught between him and those he claims set him up. As their globetrotting adventure erupts into a maze of double-crosses, close escapes, false identities, and head-spinning romantic snafus, they come to realize that all they can count on is each other.
The action-comedy is filled with plenty of explosive stunts, which both stars managed to complete mostly on their own.
"If I could do that all day long, you don’t have to pay me," Diaz says of doing her own stunts.
The film reunites Cruise and Diaz for the first time since 2001’s Vanilla Sky. Cruise says his costar is "so much fun" to work with, a sentiment that Diaz also shares.
"I feel really fortunate," she says. "He knows everything about making movies. I learn some much from him every single day."
