GLOUCESTER, Mass. — Sandra Bullock and her husband Jesse James walked away unscathed after being struck by a suspected drunk driver in Gloucester, Mass. on Friday night.
The couple was driving 15 to 20 mph in their SUV when a station wagon crossed the center line and hit them head on, police told the Associated Press.
Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the collision.
Behind the wheel of the station wagon was Lucille Gatchell, who had a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 percent — more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent. She will be arraigned on Tuesday AP says.
Bullock, 43, was "gracious" and concerned about whether Gatchell was OK, police officials told AP.
Bullock, who married her "Monster Garage" host husband on July 16, 2005, is no stranger to survival. On Dec. 20, 2000, she survived the crash of a chartered business jet at Jackson Hole Airport in Wyoming.
The actress is currently in Massachusetts shooting the romantic comedy "The Proposal."
