HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Aubrey O'Day is denying a report by In Touch Weekly that she's romancing her Hairspray co-star Ashley Parker Angel.
"The story is completely false," the 24-year-old star tells Us Weekly. "I am having a great time with my co-star on stage and there has never been a romantic relationship at all.
"Furthermore, there was never a date on July 17," she continues. "A party was thrown to celebrate my opening night on Broadway at Pop Burger and the cast and crew of Hairspray were invited."
O'Day, who temporarily left her musical group Danity Kane to perform in the Broadway musical, says Angel was simply another attendee.
"I appreciate the support Ashley Parker Angel gave by attending my event," she tells Us.
The romance rumors come on the heels of Angel recently calling off his engagement to Tiffany Lynn. The 26-year-old singer starred with his model girlfriend in the 2006 MTV reality show "There and Back." The series documented his life in the aftermath of O-Town's break-up and his transition into a solo career. It also showcased the couple's relationship troubles and the birth of their son.
