LOS ANGELES – Alex Turner was upset when he couldn’t find any women to flirt with at a party.
The Arctic Monkeys frontman was attending the launch of Spencer Hart’s flagship store on Brook Street in London on Tuesday (and was overheard complaining to his pal Miles Kane about the lack of females at the bash.
A source told BANG Showbiz: "Alex and Miles had a good time, but people heard Alex having a moan that there weren’t enough pretty girls there."

The Arctic Monkeys frontman was attending the launch of Spencer Hart’s flagship store on Brook Street in London on Tuesday (and was overheard complaining to his pal Miles Kane about the lack of females at the bash.
A source told BANG Showbiz: "Alex and Miles had a good time, but people heard Alex having a moan that there weren’t enough pretty girls there."
Alex has been single since he and TV presenter Alexa Chung decided to end their four-year romance in July following a series of rows, but according to insiders are hopeful of staying friends.
A source said at the time: "They want to stay friends so it’s best to split now. They’ve been through a lot together and all their friends are sad they’ve called time as a couple.
"It was best that they both got out now and saved their friendship."
Insiders blamed the pair’s working commitments for causing them to drift apart, and with Alexa, 27, based in New York for the summer while Alex is on the road with the band, the couple did not want to continue with a long-distance romance.
However, it was revealed today (15.09.11) that Alexa has moved on quickly and has been secretly dating The Hurts singer Theo Hutchcraft for the past few weeks.
A source said: "It’s still early days but Theo is really keen on Alexa. They met at the American music festival Coachella in April and Theo has been spending a lot of time in New York, where Alexa lives.
"They share the same interests – music and fashion – and get on really well. But the relationship is still raw and they’re not putting too much pressure on each other to make it work at this stage."
