LAS VEGAS — A Nevada Department of Corrections official has denied a tabloid report suggesting O.J. Simpson was severely beaten in prison by a white supremacist.
Prison spokesman Kevin Ingram tells Fox5 in Las Vegas that there is no truth to the story, adding that Simpson is "just fine."
The National Enquirer claimed the former football star was beaten to a "bloody pulp" by a mid-20s skinhead. The attack was said to have been prompted by white supremacists overhearing Simpson bragging about "his sexual conquests of beautiful white women."
Simpson, 63, is serving 9 to 33 years at the Lovelock Correctional Center for robbing two memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas hotel in 2007.
