HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Adam Lambert apparently isn't wanted at ABC, at least not yet.
For the second time, the network has canceled an appearance by the former American Idol star in the wake of his controversial "For Your Entertainment" number at the American Music Awards.
"Yes, sadly friends, ABC has canceled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE," Lambert wrote Wednesday on his Twitter account. ":( don't blame them. It's the FCC heat."
ABC received thousands of complaints from viewers after Lambert's racy performance at the Nov. 22 AMAs, leading to them to cancel his scheduled appearance days later on Good Morning America.
Lambert was scheduled to hit Kimmel's outdoor stage on Dec. 17, while his planned New Year's Eve performance had yet to be finalized, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 27-year-old singer says he isn't sweating the latest cancellations with an NBC gig planned and more to come.
"I AM doing Leno though. And lookin into something for NYE," he tweeted. "It'll all blow over. Let's focus on being positive! :)"
