HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Adam Lambert says he feels bad for calling out one of his fans during Monday's recording for Iheartradio's Stripped series.
The 28-year-old singer was trying to record an acoustic song when he became disrupted by a woman in the third row who was talking on her cell phone.
"You're not watching TV, honey, it's a live show!" the former American Idol star politely told her as the crowd roared in approval.
In recalling the incident Thursday during an interview with Access Hollywood, Lambert said he simply couldn't concentrate.
"I think ultimately she called into the radio station and said she was fine with it," said Lambert. "I made sure afterwards to kind of blow her a kiss and like, make amends."
"I didn't want to really embarrass her," he added. "For that moment she needed to be a little embarrassed and she needed to learn that lesson and I'm glad."
