HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Adam Lambert reunited with ABC on Thursday as he visited the ladies on The View. Of course, the network made sure that the American Idol alum didn't upset any viewers this time around by pre-taping his interview and performance.
The 27-year-old singer made light of the fallout from his racy American Music Awards performance by warning the audience upon his emergence, "Protect your children, people!" Lambert once again acknowledged that his AMA appearance was "a little bit lewd." He also admitted that he's "a little more conscious" now of how some of those sexy moves might offend some people.
During the live "Hot Topics" portion of the show, Whoopi Goldberg, who wasn't at the interview taping, said ABC was to blame for making the story bigger than it needed to be by canceling several of Lambert's appearances on the network after the racy number.
"I think ABC's keeping [the AMA scandal] a lot more alive than anybody else, but that's me," she said.
Lambert's View appearance included a performance of "What Do You Want From Me," a ballad written by Pink.
