LOS ANGELES — Rachel Uchitel is speaking out after someone leaked several text messages between her and David Boreanaz, calling them "not authentic" and "taken completely out of context."
"I feel compelled to address the false picture that has been portrayed," Uchitel tells Us Weekly. "For reasons unknown to me, I believe that someone is deliberately trying to portray me in a false light. These texts should not have been published."
On Thursday, RadarOnline said it had obtained several Blackberry text messages between the pair. In one exchange, Uchitel lashes out at Boreanaz for not spending enough time with her, even though his wife, Jaime Bergman, is pregnant at the time.
"I can't do this anymore…Just go. Just (bleeping) go and be with her," writes Uchitel.
"Why do u act like such a (bleeping) child!!! She is my wife," replied Boreanaz.
According to Uchitel, the reality is Boreanaz "pursued" her and she claims to have the text messages to prove it.
"The authentic texts, which I have, reveal that David Boreanaz repeatedly expressed his deep love and affection towards me," she told Us.
Uchitel also said she "broke off the relationship" with Boreanaz because she "no longer respected or trusted him."
"I am deeply hurt and offended that anyone would think that I wanted to break up his family," she said. "Nothing could be further from the truth."
Uchitel's famed attorney, Gloria Allred, also provided details on the relationship in a statement.
"Rachel Uchitel had a romantic relationship with David Boreanaz," Allred told Us. "She understood that he was unhappy in his marriage and had been for some time and she had reason to believe that he intended to separate from his wife. He continually asked Ms. Uchitel to be patient and to wait for him. Some of the reasons that she believed him include that he spoke to Ms. Uchitel on the telephone and through text messages from morning until night on a regular basis. He treated her as his girlfriend and also took her out in public. He called her between takes when he was taping his television show and put her on the telephone with his friends and his son. He even stayed with Ms. Uchitel when he came to New York for press tours. He gave her a silver key on a chain to symbolize "the key to their hearts." He also sent her a video of himself telling her how much he loved her, that he loved her then and that he would love her forever. She has kept the video. Their relationship ended because Ms. Uchitel decided to break it off. She felt that he had not been completely truthful with her and she no longer trusted him."
The Bones star admitted to cheating on his wife last week, telling People magazine that an unidentified woman threatened to go public with their affair.
"I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible," he said. "I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with. She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion."
Uchitel originally made headlines in November when she was the first woman linked to the Tigers Woods affair scandal, although she has repeatedly denied having a physical relationship with the golfer.
