NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The party just keeps rolling for country music star Jason Aldean.
Long left out of major award consideration, Aldean's recent tear continued Wednesday morning when he received a leading four 2011 CMT Music Awards nominations.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Carrie Underwood won twice, including the night's top prize for video of the year, to emerge as the big winner at the 2010 CMT Music Awards held Wednesday in Nashville.
Underwood, 27, won video of the year honors for "Cowboy Casanova." She also grabbed the CMT performance of the year video for a live version of "Temporary Home."
"Awesome fans," Underwood said as she accepted the video of the year trophy. "Thanks for seeing me out on the tour. God bless you guys. You are the best."
Lady Antebellum also had a good night, winning group video of the year for "Need You Now."
Other notable winners included Brooks & Dunn, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins.
"We were very much not expecting this," joked Kix Brooks as he accepted the duo video award for Brooks & Dunn's "Indian Summer." "We were not expecting this so much that Mr. Dunn has gone to the restroom – in Santa Fe, N.M. ... If you think I'm bringing you this award, Ronnie, you're crazy, man. This is just the kind of thing that will make 'em think we're breaking up the duo."
The ceremony, held at the Bridgestone Arena, was hosted by Kid Rock.

NASHVILLE — Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood each racked up three nominations apiece to lead the field of contenders for the 2010 CMT Music Awards, organizers announced Tuesday.
Following closely behind are Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Steel Magnolia, Sugarland, Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band with two nominations each.
"When you look at the talent and diversity amassed within these categories, it's easy to see why this has been CMT's biggest year ever," said CMT President Brian Philips. "Hosted by our Nashville-brother-by-way-of-Detroit, Kid Rock, this night promises to be an unforgettable party."
Joining the male video of the year category for the first time are Aldean and Billy Currington, while McEntire reappears in the female category for the first time since 2005, despite multiple recent CMT Awards nominations in other categories, including video of the year. Other highlights include Gloriana's first entrance in the group category, while Steel Magnolia joins duo for the first time.
The 2010 CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on June 9 on CMT and CMT.com. Country music's biggest stars are slated to perform, including Keith, Lady Antebellum, Lambert, Underwood and Urban, with more to be announced.
Fans can vote online at CMT.com through June 8 to determine the winners.
