HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — David Hasselhoff may be out of the hospital, but the mystery continues on what triggered the star's latest visit.
There have been mixed reports on what led to Hasselhoff's trip to the hospital Sunday night, with TMZ claiming that the former "Baywatch" star's 17-year-old daughter Hayley called for help upon seeing her father fall victim to another drinking binge.
However, a source tells Access Hollywood that Hasselhoff went to the hospital after experiencing a problem with his equilibrium. The insider claims Hasselhoff has been suffering from an ear infection, for which he's been taking the antihistamine Antivert. He allegedly fell ill when the prescription combined with Antabuse, a drug he has been taking to prevent alcohol abuse, caused his equilibrium to get thrown off.
Hasselhoff is said to have been released from the hospital within an hour of his visit.
The "America's Got Talent" judge made headlines in 2007 when a video surfaced online in which he appeared intoxicated as he attempted to eat a hamburger while on the floor of his home.
