HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — David Hasselhoff was rushed to a hospital Saturday after suffering a case of alcohol poisoning, Radar Online reports.
According to the publication, the former "Baywatch" star was found lying unconscious on the floor of his Encino, Calif. home by his 16-year-old daughter, Hayley. She immediately dialed her mom, Hasselhoff's ex-wife Pamela Bach, who drove over within 10 minutes and took her estranged husband to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Radar said the 56-year-old actor's alcohol level registered at .39.
"He was barely breathing when they got him at the hospital," a source told the publication. "This is about the seventh time he's been taken to a hospital over the last few years with alcohol poisoning. How many visits will it take before he dies?"
A rep for Hasselhoff tried to downplay the incident, telling TMZ that the story has been exaggerated. Spokesperson Judy Katz said the "America's Got Talent" judge "is fine and well and happy and is celebrating his father, Joe Hasselhoff's 80th birthday tonight at dinner... along with his girlfriend, Kimberly."
Hasselhoff's long battle with substance abuse made headlines in 2007 when a home video surfaced in which he was lying on the floor eating a hamburger as his 18-year-old daughter, Taylor, pleaded with him to stop.
