HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Love Hewitt is walking on cloud nine these days, admitting to being "the happiest I've ever been" thanks to new boyfriend Jamie Kennedy.
"We just make each other laugh and we're best friends," Hewitt told People at the premiere of Kennedy's new film, "Finding Bliss," at the 14th Annual Gen Art Film Festival in New York City on Tuesday night.
The "Ghost Whisperer" star says the couple is so compatible they even have the same taste in men!
"He has a total man crush on [Keith Urban]! joked the 30-year-old actress. "We were [at Sunday's Academy of Country Music Awards] and he's like, 'that guy's kind of hot,' and I'm like 'I know!' "
Kennedy confirmed the pair were an item last month during an appearance on Ryan Seacrest's KISS-FM radio show. The revelation came on the heels of Hewitt's January announcement that she and her fiancé, Ross McCall, had broken off their engagement over the holidays. While their relationship is still in the early stages, Kennedy appears just as smitten with his girlfriend.
"We've known each other for a very long time and there's just something there," the 38-year-old actor told the mag. "We've always had this mutual admiration society."
"She is the most generous and thoughtful person you'll ever meet," he added. "She's amazingly talented and people don't realize that she's incredibly funny too. She's a great person to be with."
