HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — David Hasselhoff was rushed to a hospital by ambulance Friday after suffering a seizure at his Encino, Calif. home, Radar Online reports.
The former Baywatch star was taken to nearby Cedar-Sinai Medical Center after his daughter Hayley called 911, a source told the Web site.
"Paramedics were called to the (address omitted) in Encino for medical aid," Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott told Radar. "Paramedics arrived at approximately 11:51 am and later transported the patient [to] a nearby hospital."
Hasselhoff, 57, has publicly struggled with alcoholism for many years. While it remains unclear if his latest hospitalization was triggered by the disease, sources told Radar that he had been drinking in recent days.
Hasselhoff was also hospitalized in September, with conflicting reports on whether that visit was alcohol related. His rep explained that a combination of drugs affected Hasselhoff's equilibrium, while TMZ claimed the hospital visit was the result of a drinking binge.
The America's Got Talent judge made headlines in 2007 when a video surfaced online in which he appeared intoxicated as he attempted to eat a hamburger while on the floor of his home.
