Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy Get Engaged

Karina Smirnoff; copyright PR PhotosHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy will soon enjoy a wedding dance together.

The two "Dancing" stars are now engaged, a source revealed to People.

Chmerkovskiy reportedly proposed to Smirnoff on New Year's Eve as the couple rang in 2009 at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.

Smirnoff, 30, and Chmerkovskiy, 28, first started dating over the summer.

The couple is currently in the midst of the "Dancing With the Stars" winter tour.
