HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Country star Taylor Swift is firing back at reports that she's pregnant with her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas' baby.
"It's so crazy when you spend your entire life and all of your energy trying to be a good person and trying to be a good role model and trying to make the right decision and you make the right decisions and you make the right choices and people make things up about you," the 18-year-old singer tells Access Hollywood in an interview scheduled to air Monday night. "It's a little offensive actually."
Swift and Jonas started dating over the summer, but Us Weekly reported last month that the couple had split.
"He broke her heart," a source told the magazine.
While the pair never admitted to being a couple, Swift spoke out about Jonas in August.
"He's an amazing guy and anybody would be lucky to be dating him," she told People through her rep.
Swift, whose sophomore album, "Fearless," is set for release next week, says the pregnancy rumors are inexcusable.
"I have devoted my entire life to not having something like that happen," she tells Access. "It's really, really scary that someone can just say something and it gets spread around the Internet and all of a sudden it's a verified rumor with no grounds."
"I didn’t do anything to provoke that," she adds. "Like I’m sitting there thinking, like what? Did I wear the wrong shirt?"
