A month and a half before saying “I do” to beau Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively was beyond blissful.
“Right now, I’m so peaceful,” she told Allure‘s October issue. “I’ve never been happier in my life. It’s the choice that you have to wake up every day and say, ‘There’s no reason today can’t be the best day of my life.”
And Sunday was just that. In a one-of-a-kind Marchesa couture bridal gown, Lively walked down the aisle in front of family and friends to vow for forever with Reynolds at the Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
So what’s next for the newlywed Mr. and Mrs.?
Lots of nesting in the couple’s Bedford, N.Y., estate, as Lively admits she’s not one for the hard-partying, club-hopping lifestyle.
“If I were an amazing dancer, yeah, I’d go, but I’m definitely not,” she said. “My friend calls me a speed walker because my elbows are everywhere. It’s not like I decided on these strict lifestyle choices and I’m enforcing them. It’s just something that I genuinely don’t have a desire for.
And the halls of her Westchester home — which she purchased with Reynolds in April — may soon be hearing the pitter-patter of little feet.
“I’ve always wanted a big family,” Lively admitted. How many children does she dream of? “Oh, I’d love 30 if I could,” she said.
But first, Lively — who is currently filming the sixth and final season of her hit CW teen drama, Gossip Girl — is looking forward to exploring new acting opportunities.
“I’ve worked on a lot of characters in the past five years, but I haven’t had time to work on my own character,” she explained. “That’s something that I’m really excited to do. I thought, ‘I can’t wait for Gossip Girl to be done because there are so many movies I want to do!’”
