Instead of basking in individual Emmy fanfare this weekend (with his fourth consecutive nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series), Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has been nothing but supportive of the show’s cast and crew.
On Friday, Celebuzz caught up with the 56-year-old actor at the Variety and Women in Film pre-Emmy event, held in Beverly Hills.
“I’d love to have the show win. That would mean more to me than anything,” Cranston said of the AMC series.
“If the show won it would make my year, so that’s the thing,” he added.

According to Cranston, winning an Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series — a prize the show has never won — would be quite the cherry on top of Breaking Bad’s outstanding run.
“It would be nice to be able to celebrate that [win] as a group, the cast and crew, the writers and directors and everybody and producers who really contributed to making this show tick. And it would really mean a lot to me,” he said.
Breaking Bad is also nominated for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Aaron Paul and Giancarlo Esposito) and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Anna Gunn).
The 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air live on Sunday Sept. 23 at 7PM ET, 4PM PT on ABC.
Breaking Bad returns to AMC for the second half of its final season in Summer 2013.
