NEW YORK – ABC is canceling the soap operas "All My Children" and "One Life to Live," both programs that have been on the network's daytime lineup for more than 40 years.
The move leaves "General Hospital" as ABC's only daytime drama.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — CBS is ending As the World Turns after 54 years, the network announced Tuesday.
After more than 13,000 episodes, the show will air its final episode in September 2010. The program, which is currently the longest-running soap on television, has been a launching pad for several stars over the years, including James Earl Jones, Marisa Tomei, Meg Ryan and Parker Posey.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — James Franco is headed for Port Charles.
The 31-year-old actor is joining the cast of "General Hospital," the show's executive producer, Jill Farren Phelps, confirmed Thursday on SoapNet.
