NEW YORK — Alexa Ray Joel's commercial for Prell Shampoo has finally debuted, nearly 25 years after her supermodel mother, Christie Brinkley, appeared in her own ad campaign for the brand.

Joel, 24, shows that she's inherited her mother's hair-tossing abilities in the 30-second spot, which also showcases her blossoming music career.

"I am so excited and honored to be named the new face of Prell — especially following in the footsteps of my mother, who was a Prell girl," Joel said after landing her commercial gig in February.

Alexa Ray Joel, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, newNEW YORK — Alexa Ray Joel, the daughter of pop star Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley, has been released from a Manhattan hospital after being rushed there Saturday following an apparent suicide attempt.

"She is going to be fine," Joel told Newsday Sunday of his daughter's condition.
