"Four years in the making," the 24-year-old actress told Access Hollywood at the Thursday night premiere of her new film Jonah Hex, which opens today. "I'll take the congratulations now."

LOS ANGELES — Megan Fox has a reputation for speaking her mind, but those days appear to be over.
"I don't want to open my mouth or speak anymore, because everything I say becomes scandalous," the 24-year-old actress tells Interview magazine. "It wears you out. So I'm a bit jaded. I don't read my own press, so I don't know what's being reported on a daily basis—I only hear about things when they reach a sort of Def-Con status and my publicist calls me because we have to do some damage control."
Last month, it was revealed that Fox would not appear in the third installment of Transformers, the Michael Bay franchise that turned her into a star. The brunette beauty insists it was her decision to leave, but many have speculated that her criticism of Bay in the media landed her a pink slip. Fox is willing to admit that she's handled the media badly at times.
"I do feel like, if anything, I've sort of made it worse," she explains to her interviewer, actor Zach Galifianakis. "In the past I've been reluctant to share any bits of truth about myself or to really let people in on my reality, so I have said some things to throw people off the scent of what's really going on in my life. So I have sort of aided the media in printing these misconceptions, which I regret."
"I've just come to the realization at this point that if I don't feel like sharing, then I'm just not going to share," Fox continues. "But I'm not going to go out of my way to mislead people or keep them at a distance, because that doesn't really get me anywhere either."
When it comes to dealing with fame, Fox says it can be "overwhelming" at times but she's in a good place.
"I see how it makes some people crazy," she says. "It's a strange thing. But I am really lucky. I don't understand it. I don't know how any of this has happened. I mean, I don't sit around and say, 'Gosh, I have to do this movie with this person.'
"I really, honestly, am much more focused on my personal life. I'd really like to have a family at some point. Not that I'm not focused on my career—of course I am. But I'm just at that place where I want to spend some time at home and on my family. And if a great project comes my way, then of course I'll take it. But I'm not actively out seeking something specific."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Megan Fox is shooting down speculation that she was booted from Transformers 3, insisting it was her decision to leave the hit film series that made her a bonafide star.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Megan Fox may have just learned a lesson the hard way.
The 24-year-old actress will not appear in Transformers 3 after she famously dissed the franchise's director, Michael Bay, Deadline Hollywood reports.
LOS ANGELES — Megan Fox can do without the kitchen unless she's cooking for boyfriend Brian Austin Green's 8-year-old son, Kassius.
"[He's] the only person I enjoy cooking for," the 24-year-old actress tells Allure magazine for its June issue. "I like arranging it on his little plate.... I like cooking for kids, for some reason."
Fox met Green in 2004 when she was starring on Hope & Faith and he appeared as a guest star. "After we were done shooting that day, Brian gave his number out to everyone," Fox jokingly remembers. "So I called him."
The two have dated off and on ever since, but Fox insists she could be perfectly content living on her own.
"I could go days, weeks without talking to another human being," she says. "I could probably go months and be perfectly satisfied. Easily. It's the opposite of being needy, but at the same time, I don't know if I would want to be in a relationship with someone who required as much alone time as I require."
One crowd Fox could certainly live without is the media, which has made her life difficult since her fame skyrocketed in Transformers.
"I was really open when I first started," she explains. "Trying to be lighthearted and have a sense of humor and engage in some sort of satire sometimes. It did backfire to a certain extent, and it became too exhausting. I still have the same sense of humor, but I have no desire to express it, really, anymore, because I've always been fu--ed for doing so."
Fox's privacy was also compromised in the past when someone leaked a topless photo of her taken on a cell phone, a maneuver she didn't take lightly.
"If I knew who took this picture, I would personally cause them harm—physical harm," says Fox. "I'm not a fu--ing reality-TV star that wants my picture taken all the time."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Megan Fox may be one of the biggest sex symbols around today, but she certainly doesn't have a long track record when it comes to the bedroom.
"I've only been with two men my entire life," the 23-year-old actress reveals in the April U.K. issue of Harper's Bazaar.
