HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" licked the competition once again, holding onto the No. 1 spot at the box office for the second straight weekend.
The Disney film brought in $17.5 million to outlast the thriller "Quarantine," which debuted at $14.2 million.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Anne Hathaway has joined the growing all-star cast for Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 25-year-old actress will portray the White Queen, "a benevolent monarch who is deposed and banished by her sister."
Also joining the cast is Burton's fiancé, Helena Bonham Carter, who will assume the role of the sister, The Red Queen.

The Disney comedy debuted with a $29 million weekend, easily outlasting the previous weekend's No. 1, "Eagle Eye," which fell slightly short of $18 million in sales.
"Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" finished third, with an opening weekend of $11 million.
Two other debuts did not fair as well — the David Zucker comedy "An American Carol," which opened at No. 9, and "Religulous," which finished tenth.

The duo's "Eagle Eye" topped the weekend box office with opening sales of $29.2 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 22-year-old actor and the 43-year-old director also topped the box office last year with "Disturbia."
"Nights in Rodanthe," which co-stars Richard Gere and Diane Lane, finished a distant second with estimated sales of $13.6 million.
