Katharine McPhee to Guest Star on 'CSI: NY'

Katharine McPheeHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Katharine McPhee won't have to stray too far for her television acting debut.

The 24-year-old McPhee will guest star as a singer on an April episode of "CSI: NY," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

McPhee, who finished as the runner-up on the fifth season of "American Idol," previously appeared as herself on a 2007 episode of ABC's "Ugly Betty."

Nelly Set to Star on 'CSI: NY'

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Nelly will soon be making music on the small screen.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 33-year-old Grammy winner is joining CBS' "CSI: NY" for a multi-episode arc.

Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Haynes Jr., will play a club owner who serves as a confidential informant to Mac and his team, EW says.
