NEW YORK — Wyclef Jean has been slapped with a lawsuit that alleges he bailed on paying his jewelry bill, the Associated Press reports.

In court papers filed Tuesday in Manhattan, Jacob and Company Incorporated claims the 35-year-old hip-hop artist bought several watches and articles of jewelry between March 2002 and January 2006. The purchases reportedly amounted to $765,100.
